Green Beans with Garlic

This recipe is really quick to make and is a lovely side dish for something like Butter chicken curry, Turkish Chicken or Italian Meatballs.

1 cup green beans – fresh or frozenGreen beans with garlic

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced

1/4 cup white wine (or use stock)

2 Tbsp Olive oil

Chopped fresh chives

Salt and pepper

Fry the onion in the olive oil until soft

Add the garlic and fry for another minute or so

Add the beans and wine and cook for 5-10 minutes, depending on how well you like your beans cooked.

The liquid will cook off, but just watch it doesn’t get too dry.  If so, add a bit of water

Add salt and pepper and serve
